Seamless, practical, hygienic
Perhaps a seamless floor is not the first thing that comes to mind when you want to have your bathroom redone, but this type of flooring is precisely the choice of choice here. Because seamless floors are applied seamlessly, your bathroom appears optically larger. And whether you want a clean, crisp white bathroom or opt for a concrete look, it’s all possible with a seamless floor.
In addition, this type of flooring is also very practical, especially in the bathroom. This is because it is a lot more humid here than in other rooms of the house, which makes the joints and cracks between the bathroom tiles particularly susceptible to accumulating dirt, moisture and limescale. You no longer have to deal with this with a seamless seamless floor, and they are also completely waterproof. A seamless floor is therefore a hygienic alternative that makes cleaning a breeze.
Never cold feet again
Seamless floors feel nice and warm and soft by themselves, very nice in a room where most people walk barefoot. Still need extra heating? The floor usually combines well with underfloor heating. Because the floor conducts and retains heat well, you no longer need any other heating in the bathroom.
Applying a seamless floor
The screed can usually just be applied over the bathroom tiles. The prerequisite for this is that the subfloor is level enough and stable, otherwise cracking may occur. It may therefore be necessary to have the existing subfloor leveled first. In the bathroom, seamless floors are always finished with a special top layer that prevents slipping and sliding due to moisture. In addition, you can opt for an extra anti-slip layer in places that get extra wet (around the bathtub or in a walk-in shower). After application, the floor needs to harden for a few days before you can use it. Usually, you can use your bathroom after a week and then you can go years ahead with your new floor.
