Preventive measures
Mats
To prevent scratches, it is wise to place a clean or dry walking mat from Storax or Hamat, for example, near the door. This will prevent sand or stone dust from being walked in. Tip: entrance mats from Storax or Hamat.
Furniture protectors
Make sure your furniture doesn’t scratch the floor. When moving your furniture, lift it instead of shifting it and apply protective coatings to the legs. For more information on applicable furniture protectors, please visit epi.scratchnomore.nl. Tip: office chairs can be fitted with special soft wheels for hard floors.
No wet and moist items
Furthermore, be careful not to place wet items and moist items such as wood, rubber and leather on the floor, this can cause stains.
Check for stains
It is also a good idea to regularly check the floor for stains so that they can be removed in a timely manner. Certain substances such as alcohol, iodine, ketchup and mustard can cause permanent stains. Had a party where a glass of wine was spilled? If so, mop this up as soon as possible, at least within 30 minutes.
Plasticizer-free rug
Of course, it is also an idea to place a rug under your furniture. With a nice rug, the room gets just a little extra and any scratches won’t have a chance. Make sure that the underside of the rug is plasticizer-free, which means that it should not have any gel-like substances on it. This also applies, of course, to any anti-slip mat. Preferably choose a rug made from natural materials such as wool or jute.
Daily
Depending on the degree of soiling, it is desirable to maintain the floor daily. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush nozzle and change the dust bag regularly. Do not use oil-impregnated dusters for wiping. Check for stains and remove them with a damp microfiber cloth.
Weekly
Dusting/vacuuming does not remove all dirt. At least once a week, after vacuuming, damp cleaning is necessary. Depending on the surface and dirt, this can be done manually or by machine.
Do not use abrasives, as they cause scratches and chlorinated agents can stain the seamless floor. Soap and polymer-based products are also not suitable as they leave a film, making cleaning difficult in the long run. So clean the floor regularly as directed and use cleaning products suitable for your floor. Such as Cleanec’s Daily Clean
Daily Clean
- Dusting – Vacuum or use a Swiffer.
- Mixing – Max. 100 ml Daily Clean with 5 liters of lukewarm water.
- Cleaning – Wring out mop or mop well and clean the floor.
- Drying – Avoid wet spots and dry with paper towels if necessary.
Note!
- Do not use too much detergent, it may cause stains.
- Do not clean the floor too wet to avoid dirt build-up.
- Suitable for mopping robots and cleaning machines.
- Always test on a small area first
Periodic
Your By EPI Superbase®, Corestone Nature® or Quartz R® seamless floor is delivered with a specially developed By EPI topcoat. This makes the floor easy to maintain. Because of the load and the corresponding degree of soiling, the floor requires thorough cleaning once or twice a year. Stubborn dirt that affects the optical value of the floor is thus removed. Use Cleanec’s Power Clean for this purpose.
Power Clean
- Mixing – Use the mixing ratios below:
– 1 liter of **Power Clean** to 2.5 liters of water (**pH 9.6**)
– 1 liter of **Power Clean** to 5 liters of water (**pH 9.3**)
– 1 liter of **Power Clean** to 10 liters of water (**pH 9.0**)
- Application – Apply the cleaning agent per 1 m².
- Soak in – Leave for 2-3 minutes.
- Scrubbing- Use a cleaning pad with light pressure.
- Removal – Use a hand puller or vacuum cleaner to pick up dirty water.
- Afterwipe- Clean the floor after with Daily Clean to remove residue.
Note!
- Avoid scouring pads or sharp objects that can damage the surface.
- Always use the red pad wet to avoid scratching.
- Always test on a small area first.
- Cleanec is not liable for damage caused by improper use.
