What color screed do I choose?
After much deliberation, you have decided: a cast floor best suits your living needs. Time to get colorful: choose which color cast floor best suits your interior.
Colors of the floor, wall and ceiling determine the atmosphere and spatial effect within a home. Thus, a room can be made smaller, larger, narrower, wider, deeper, higher, brighter or warmer. In this blog you will find out in which color palettes our floors are available and what effect colors have in the room.
Types of colors
EPI cast floors are available in different solids (one color) and blends (mix of 2 colors). For example, with the EPI Superbase PU cast floor, you can choose from earthy tones, neutral, pastel, bright, industrial and Scandinavian colors. Solid color gives a sleek and neutral look, while blend provides a playful and vibrant effect. With over 86 colors, there is always a color to match your living style.
Different looks
At EPI, we develop and produce casting floors for every kind of interior. In our range you will find the Superbase cast floor (sleek and spacious) and the Corestone Nature (robust and artisanal) concrete look cast floor.
The Superbase® casting floor is a durable and comfortable polyurethane flooring system and consists of 5 floor types. The floor variants contain minerals, crystals, terrazzo stones or cork. The inlaid materials give the floor a subtle sprankling and luxurious appearance.
Corestone Nature® is a natural and super strong synthetic design floor for any interior. Whether the rooms in an apartment, townhouse, detached house or garage: the possibilities are endless with Corestone Nature®. A worry-free and shrinkage-free alternative to concrete floors, residential concrete and concrete ciré floors.
Light cast floors
If you choose a light cast floor in a room where the walls and ceiling are darker in color, chances are that the cast floor will make the room look optically larger. A light cast floor is the ideal basis for an interior in which you use colors and contrasts to give the room more atmosphere. A light cast floor is timeless, sleek and looks clean. But do not make it too light; this creates a cold and distant effect. Be careful though, on white you can see everything!
Dark cast floors
With a darker cast floor, you can easily create contrasts. You create this by making walls and ceilings lighter or adding a lighter color to the interior. A room that is too dark often leads to a gloomy result and a visually smaller space. So make sure you create a balance.
