Up to 15 dB noise reduction with EPI Membrane

Because the Superbase Membrane cast floor reduces impact noise by 15 dB, your floor also more than meets the European standards for floors in apartments. And last but not least, the EPI Superbase cast floor with membrane is completely solvent-free and contains mostly natural raw materials and fillers. Good for the environment. Your floor will last an average of forty years, after which the self-levelling screed can be recycled as filler for a new floor!
How does the EPI Membrane work?
EPI Membrane consists of two components, is completely solvent-free and, at 2 to 3 mm thick, is much thinner than conventional rubber mats typically used as soundproofing layers.
It is applied as an additional layer in your screed. It is easy to apply, dries within 16 hours and is ideal in apartments, for example. With a noise reduction from 15 dB, the European standard is easily met.

With this, veins don’t stand a chance and you bridge shrinkage and settlement cracks with a width of up to 2.5 mm. This seems little, but is a huge amount. In fact, cracks due to shrinkage and settlement of more than 2.5 mm are only caused by construction defects and natural disasters. With static crack bridging up to at least 2.5 mm, EPI Superbase screed in combination with membrane falls into the highest possible crack bridging class (A5).
