Every year there are new and exciting interior design trends that you can use to give your home a fresh update. The color trend of 2021 is blue in its varieties! Like the colors of Farrow & Ball Pitch Blue, fresh Ultra Marine Blue and the dark, inky Stiffkey Blue. Powerful colors that create a hotel room atmosphere and come together beautifully in the interior trend of 2021: Modern Classic. Nienke, sales and styling consultant in the EPI Experience Showroom, will be happy to tell you more about it.
Modern Classic
Surely we are a bit privileged. Because we get to think about flooring, we also get a peek at the most beautiful interior designs. One of the styles we often see passing by, which never bores and also evolves with time, is Modern Classic.
Increasingly, monumental buildings, such as Fort Isabella in Vught or South Breda in Breda’s Oranje Zuid neighborhood, are being renovated into luxury apartments. To emphasize the monumental character of the property, a combination of a modern interior with classical accents is often made.

Preference for classical
The fondness for the historical elements can be seen in the interiors. The modern white kitchen with the antique copper pans. An antique table paired with modern blue padded dining room chairs and large pivot doors next to a wall of sleet tiles.
We also see it the other way around. A new house built without classical elements. Here it is all about contrast. A bathroom with, for example, our Corestone Classic on the walls and floor, where the bathtub on dragon feet comes into its own so beautifully.
Corestone Nature
Our flooring systems fit seamlessly into this style. Especially our newest pride, Corestone Nature, fits in so nicely. A cast floor with the look and feel of a cement bonded floor, but with the strong properties of a synthetic floor.
In one of 36 natural shades, Corestone Nature almost looks like loam. Combine a Corestone Nature floor with an oak herringbone, for example. Think of herringbone kitchen fronts, accents on the walls in the hall or the tabletop.
And even with a heat pump, this floor can be used in your interior. A Corestone Nature floor is only 2 millimeters thick, allowing you to get the maximum efficiency from your underfloor heating.
