Carla and Willem from Uden have lived in the same home for 30 years. In those 30 years
they have modernized several times, including the realization of an extension. After quite some time, the old tile floor on the first floor needed replacing and they were looking for a more modern solution. In this blog, they explain the choices in their search for the new floor.
Wishes and needs
The family wanted a seamless floor with a tough look that was not standard.
Furthermore, the floor had to be scratch-resistant and strong so they could walk on it without worry. Carla says, “Because there are so many types of flooring you can’t see the forest for the trees. We needed help in choosing the right flooring system to suit our needs. Through acquaintances we ended up at Ideaal Vloeren who have EPI cast floors in their range. We immediately liked the Corestone Nature floor because of its natural, tough and robust look. In order to get a better idea, we went to the EPI showroom. Here we were able to view several samples and walk over different flooring systems, even though this choice for the Corestone Nature was already fixed.”
Color choice and result
Carla continues “Deciding on the color was still the biggest task. Fortunately, there was a wide variety of colors to choose from. A gray color suited our interior and the new kitchen best. In the end, we chose the color Pebble.
After the floor cured, we installed the kitchen and put the furniture back in place. Now we could finally enjoy our floor in a complete interior. We are extremely happy with the result and the way it was installed. The robust look and structure also ensure that our dog can play safely without the chance of slipping. “
