Color and interior advice from Rose and Tessa – 1

The new color collection contains calm, bold and contrasting colors that are the perfect base for any interior. Colors that are stylish and timeless. But which color combinations can be made? Our showroom advisors Roos and Tessa give you some style tips for decorating your home based on two selected colors.

Tessa's choice

Tessa chose the color Terra from the Earth Tones theme. “The color is not standard and therefore really appeals to me,” she said. For the mood board, she chose light and natural materials. The cast floor color is the starting point for the composition of the moodboard. Tessa continues ” This moodboard consists of inspiration materials for the design of the kitchen, the reading area and the general living space.”

In the kitchen, green tiles would match the Terra color perfectly. Furthermore, the kitchen can be dressed with a light kitchen top and finished with fronts of solid oak.

For the reading nook, a wool rug looks great with the rust brown armchairs. Linen pillows to keep it airy complete the reading nook.

There is a jute rug in the general living area. This jute rug is a nod to natural materials. On the light beige couch are rust brown pillows to create consistency with the rest the reading area.

As advice I would give, you should always look to see if a color suits you. Is it a warm or a cold shade? Furthermore, it is useful to take the cast floor or the interior as a starting point for decorating. Always take a color sample with you to compare at home.

Rose's choice

“What I like about the new color collection is that it includes my favorite color khaki. So I chose the color Canvas, which is a Blend with a light khaki hue.” Roos’ mood board consists of robust and coarse textures with soft and cuddly fabrics as counterparts. As a source of inspiration, Roos used autumn, her favorite season. The fabrics of the moodboard refer to the furnishing of the kitchen, the living island the curtains and decorations for the wall.

Rose continues, “For the kitchen, I think it’s cool to work with autumnal colors for the cabinets. I chose an industrial rust look and feel. This is softened by the subtle color of the cast floor. This gives a nice consistency. For the top, I chose marble with light gold accents. A warm and cozy oak color is central to the decoration of the bar stools.

For the living room, Rose picked a cozy rug paired with a solid-color sofa. “Add different colorful pillows, such as the colors of falling leaves, for extra ambience.” adds Roos.

Furthermore, a dark color of green appears in the mood board. This color can be used, for example, for the wall. The color green comes out extra well with many large and green houseplants. This makes it more lively.

When choosing your interiors, it can be helpful to be inspired by home decorating magazines. The advice is not to copy everything 1-to-1. Here you can get bored after a few years. Living magazines are following the trends of the moment. How to get started with that? Combine trends with a large dose of your own taste. That way you never miss a beat!
