But does a cast floor lend itself to the kitchen? In this blog, we’ll answer this question and take a look at what types of EPI cast flooring will suit your style and needs.
The practical benefits of a cast floor in the kitchen
A cast floor is seamless and liquid-proof, making it easy and quick to clean. EPI floors are very hard-wearing and last about 20 years on average. The seamless transition between living room and kitchen makes the room appear optically larger. And especially in combination with underfloor heating, it is a very pleasant floor.

There is no accounting for taste, which is why we have developed several EPI flooring systems, each with its own look, available in a wide range of colors. Ranging from rough, traditional to sleek and smooth, as well as terrazzo.

Superbase
Our strong and comfortable plastic molding floor, smooth, sleek, resilient and non discoloring, upgradeable with membrane against cracking. Ideal for kitchens where living is allowed! The cast floor is available in over 26 colors as solid (one color) or blend (mix of two colors). The Superbase floor is truly an all-rounder and is therefore suitable for almost all types of kitchens.
Corestone Nature
Corestone Nature has the natural, tough, robust look and structure of concrete, but with the strong properties of a cast floor. The floor is applied by hand, this handwork can be seen in the surface of the floor. The Corestone Nature floor fits well in modern kitchens, finished with black accents and stone, but also comes into its own in classic residential kitchens with wood accents.
Corestone Classic
The floor finish with the industrial look of concrete. Shrink-free, and stronger than most other cementitious concrete look products. Corestone Classic is also suitable as a wall finish and easy to maintain and easy to keep clean. Like Corestone Nature, this floor is suitable in modern and classic kitchens.
Styles and desires
A terrazzo look floor with the powerful properties of a cast floor. The EPI Gusto floor has one color as a base into which fine marble pieces and natural stone are sprinkled after which it is sanded smooth and finished with a transparent lacquer, giving a unique terrazzo look. The terrazzo look is ideally suited for kitchens with classic touches. Think of 1930s homes.
