Reference case - Pre-war house De Bilt – Superbase

"The screed should be durable and sturdy, but also feel comfortable."

Marvin’s family from de Bilt recently moved into a 1920s home. To furnish their new home, they were looking for a floor that connects the original home with the addition. A sleek floor without a break in style.

Wishes and needs

The floor had to be a neutral color and go well with the white and wooden elements of the kitchen and TV room. In addition, the floor had to be durable and sturdy to minimize the chance of damage, but at the same time feel comfortable so you can walk on it without shoes.

After an Internet search, they ended up at EPI. “We visited the showroom where we could literally walk over the floors. I am color blind myself, so I could use some help picking out the color. What was important was that the color had to look friendly, contain a blend and not give a chilly feeling,” Marvin says enthusiastically.

In the end, they chose the Superbase floor in the color Shade. The Superbase floor is a seamless, hard-wearing and liquid-proof cast floor. Exactly what Marvin was looking for.

This floor color is reflected in the new color collection and falls within the Originals theme. The floor has been in their home for some time and they are very happy with the end result to this day!
